"My true reasoning for why I have decided to pursue a healthier lifestyle and join the KDWorkout program is because I was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in March of 2010. When I was told this horrific news, a friend of mine introduced me to Kenya shortly after and I began working out with him as much as I could to keep my body "moving". Kenya and I trained for my very first 5K Downtown Greenville race and then the Cooper River shortly after. He ran by my side the entire downtown race, and even ran backwards to help me cross that finish line. Completing those races were two of my biggest victories that I have accomplished thus far.
Although in the last 2 years, I go through ups and downs with my body being in pain, I am at a place now where I want to get in shape as much as I can now. I do have a lot of "weak" moments as the medicine I inject at night puts me in a lot of pain and sometimes my body just wants to give up. However, I have found that mentally and physically working out, or attempting to try to run, has been great for me overall. I will never proclaim to be a runner. In fact, I am horrible at it. But I have the push and support from friends along with Kenya to always keep it moving and live a healthy lifestyle. I am starting all over again training for my next 5K so I am eager to see how far I will go having to start all over again. I am anxious to prove to myself that I can beat all this and accomplish it yet again."
"I was in Greenville for a short time with the cast of WICKED. I wanted use my time wisely. I met Kenya at the gym and asked if he would train me while I was in town and he agreed. He said my sessions would be a half hour long. I looked at him and said "am I going to sweat in a half hour?" Well, I was in for a big surprise. Within the first five minutes of my training sessions I was drenched in sweat. My sessions with Kenya were efficient and focused. I got more done in that half hour then when I am at the gym for an hour. We did two body parts a day and he managed to incorporate cardio within that half hour. I was doing exercises that I have never done before and feeling stronger each time I went back into the gym.
I am now in a different city and wish I could find a trainer as motivating as Kenya. Thanks man for two weeks of intense training.
Wishing you continued success."
"I have been training with Kenya for almost two years. Since training with him I feel that I am more physically fit and stronger. He is very creative with the training exercises and makes working out challenging but enjoyable. I am 55 years old and have never considered myself a runner; but with his encouragement and training I have participated in five 5k races within the last twelve months. I hope to continue to improve in every aspect of my training and I believe I will with Kenya ’s help. He’s the best!"

"Previous to Kenya, my workout experience had not been very effective and I found myself doing the same old thing without any drive. Kenya brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm, energy and experience to the workouts. I am consistently and constantly challenged by new exercises. The variety of exercise and the balanced approach Kenya created has helped me in finding new ways to challenge myself. Kenya has enabled me to do things I was not able to do before and I believe he has created a much more energetic and happier me!"
